Public Notice:

The City of Dimmitt's Outdoor Warning Siren System will be tested every Friday at 12:00 p.m., weather permitting, starting Friday, March 20th.

The sirens will not be tested if we are experiencing cloudy or stormy weather to prevent any confusion.

We are looking for someone that can recover or possibly restore our pool table. If you know of anyone that can do this please have them contact us.

Dimmitt Volunteer Fire Department had their Christmas party last night. Everything was going great until the Grinch showed up and tried to ruin it all. Luckily the kids stood strong, and showed him that they were stronger. Danny Prieto did an EXCELLENT job of fighting back and getting the gifts back !

It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of one of our long time officers and member. He will be greatly missed.

Charlie Lane, 72, a lifelong resident of Dimmitt, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025, in Oklahoma City. Charlie was born on January 1, 1953, in Littlefield, Texas, to Samuel and Ollie Haywood Lane. He grew up in Dimmitt, attended school, and graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1971.

12-19-2024. Dimmitt Volunteer Fire Department Christmas party. Good food and fellowship. Santa brought stuff for the kids, appreciation gifts for the ladies of the firemen, the Grinch tried to steal the kids presents, and appreciation to Stanley Maurer for 40 years of service. Didn't get many pics, but I know others did.
