Have you seen our Fall Raffle baskets yet? Stop by the lobby and check them out!

Our Friends of the Library have put together four lovely options this year:

Swiftie Basket: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce books, fun goodies, and sweet treats.

WWII Fiction Basket: Seven acclaimed historical novels, coffee, gourmet snacks, and a local diner gift card.

Family Night Basket: Board games, a puzzle, movie snacks, and a $20 Baker’s Diner gift card.

Handmade Blanket: A soft, colorful fleece tie-blanket made for cozy autumn reading.

Tickets are available at the front desk for $1 each or 6 for $5 (18+ to enter).

The baskets are currently on display in the lobby, but we’ll move them inside next to the checkout table to make extra room once our Fall Used Book Sale kicks off on Saturday, September 19 at 9:00 AM.

The book sale will run all week during regular library hours, wrapping up on Saturday, September 26 with our $5 Fill-a-Bag Day and the basket drawing at the end of the day. You don't need to be present to win—we’ll happily give you a call!

Every ticket directly supports our library and the programs we offer our community. We hope to see you soon!

For those who lived through September 11, 2001, the memory remains unforgettable. On this 25th anniversary, we pause to honor the lives lost, the selfless bravery of our first responders, and the unimaginable sorrow carried by the families left behind. We must teach future generations the true meaning of heroism and patriotism so that their sacrifices are never forgotten—because we must never forget.

Today, our community reflects on a day that permanently altered the course of history and the ongoing grief still borne by so many. In honoring the immense sacrifices made that morning, we also recognize the resilience that continues to bind us together.

For those looking to reflect, learn, or remember, a curated collection of histories, memoirs, and accounts from that era is available in our catalog: https://york.chilipac.com/booklist/PPwjV

Hard to believe, but this Friday is our final Friday night concert!

Whether the skies are clear or a little rainy, the music and dinner plans are officially on. If the weather behaves, we’ll be out enjoying the library lawn. If rain rolls in, our kind neighbors at Calvary Methodist Church are letting us head across the street into the Family Center to stay dry.

Pack a lawn chair, bring the kids, and let the food trucks handle dinner so you don't have to cook. We’d love to have you help us wrap up the season!

Food Trucks: 4:30 PM – 8:00 PM (Calvary Methodist Church, 203 Mumper Lane)
