The South Carolina Association of Conservation Districts is pleased to announce the launch of the Feral Swine Exclusion Fence Funding Program, made possible through the NACD Feral Swine Exclusion Fencing Grant. This is a cost sharing program that supports SC landowners in installing fencing to protect against feral hog damage. Priority outreach areas include Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Hampton, Orangeburg, Ridgeland and Walterboro. The program; however, is open to landowners statewide. State Executive Director for the USDA Farm Service Agency Visits Local Farms

On July 10, 2025, Cody Simpson visited several local farms in Dillon County, including Bruce Price and Sons Farm. Recently, W.R. “Cody” Simpson III was appointed by the Trump Administration as the new State Executive Director for the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) in South Carolina.

Bruce Price founded the farm in 1961, and it is currently operated by his sons, Sonny and Tony Price. The farm is recognized for its commitment to innovative and sustainable agricultural practices, including no-till farming and the use of cover crops to enhance soil health.
