The Drug Free Dickson Coalition's mission is to reduce & prevent alcohol, tobacco & drug misuse in Dickson County, particularly among youth, and prescription drug abuse for all ages, through awareness, education and action.

🚨 TEENS: THIS LABOR DAY WEEKEND, MAKE THE SAFE CHOICE 🚨

As we wrap up the 100 Safest Days of Summer, remember your plans should never cost a life -- yours or someone else’s.

🍺🚫 No drinking.
💊🚫 No drugs.
🚗🚫 No impaired driving.
🙅‍♀️ Never get in a vehicle with someone who has been drinking or under the influence of drugs.

If you find yourself in an unsafe situation, call a trusted adult, a sober friend, or someone who can get you home safely. Your safety matters more than anything.

Sheriff Eads spent Saturday grilling hamburgers for everyone who attended, and we are so grateful for his time, support, and willingness to be part of such an important day.

This Saturday, community members and local partners came together for Drug Free Dickson’s Overdose Awareness Day event.

The day was dedicated to remembering those we have lost to overdose, celebrating those in recovery, and showing support for the families and loved ones who have been impacted.
Those attending also had the opportunity to walk to the Wind Phone—a peaceful place for reflection and remembrance of loved ones who are no longer with us.

Thank you to our community partners who shared resources and support, and to everyone who joined us for this meaningful day.
Overdose Awareness Day reminds us why this work matters. Every life has value, every story matters, and recovery is possible. 💜

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we pause to remember the lives behind the numbers. 💜
Every name in this video represents someone who was loved, someone who mattered, and someone whose absence is still deeply felt.
We are incredibly grateful to the families and loved ones who trusted us with their names and photos. It is an honor to remember them alongside you.
May we continue to speak their names, carry their memories, and work toward a community where fewer families have to experience this kind of loss.
