🇺🇸 City of Dickson will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026 in observation of Labor Day 🇺🇸 Sanitation services will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. If your pickup day is normally on Monday, please have your cart to the curb by 6:30am on Tuesday, as we will be collecting Monday & Tuesday's route. Please have a safe holiday!

🚦Heads up, Dickson!🚦

Effective 9/11/2026: The city is implementing a change at the intersection of W. Walnut Street and S. Main Street.

The traffic light will be switched to flashing red lights, and the intersection will operate as a 3-way stop for 90 days. The traffic light will flash red in all directions. Drivers will need to treat the intersection as a three-way stop. After the 90 days, the traffic and safety data will be evaluated to confirm if the traffic light can be removed permanently.

A flashing red light works the same as a three-way stop.

Please be careful and watch for the new traffic signs while everyone gets used to the change. Questions? Call City Hall at 615-441-9508.

Adaptive Flag Football registration is now open!

Dickson Parks & Recreation is excited to partner with the Dickson Dolphins to offer an adaptive flag football program designed to give athletes the opportunity to learn, compete and have fun in a supportive environment.

The program will include two age and skill tiers so players can participate at the level that best fits their abilities and support needs.

Practices begin: September 2026
Games begin: October 2026
Dickson County resident fee: $5
Out-of-county fee: $10

A big thank you to Tennsco for refurbishing the courts and for their continued partnership and support of our parks system. We’re grateful for their investment in recreation and our community.

We are looking for talented artists, makers and crafters to participate in the Amazingly Abled Artisan Fair, a creative showcase celebrating makers who navigate physical, intellectual, developmental, mental health or medical complexities.
