Culture Quest is heading to Mexico! Ages 5–18 can learn about elote and build a delicious elote-inspired corn cup with traditional toppings. Registration is required. We can't believe August is almost over!

We're still thinking about all the wonderful memories made during this year's Summer Reading Program. From storytimes and special events to reading challenges and community partnerships, Summer 2026 was one to remember, and we have our amazing community to thank for their continued support. ❤️📚

A special thank you tTexas Library Association and H-E-B for their Summer Grant support, and all of the incredible partners we had the opportunity to work with this summer. Your support helped make our programs possible and allowed us to reach so many people in our community.

A huge thank you to Anchor Point for hosting their Diaper Bash at our library on August 14th! 🎉

Their team made a meaningful impact by supporting more than 100 families in our community with valuable resources and assistance. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with such a dedicated organization and help connect local families with the support they need.

Thank you, Anchorpoint, for making a difference in our community. We look forward to continuing to work together in the future! 💙

At the library, caring for our community goes beyond books.

This morning, before opening our doors, library staff participated in Narcan training led by Gulf Coast Center. Their team generously gave their time to teach us how to respond in an opioid overdose emergency and supplied the library with Narcan for emergency use.

Earlier this year, staff also completed Mental Health and First Aid certification training. We are committed to being prepared, informed, and ready to help when our community needs us most.
