⚠️ WEATHER UPDATE | GALVESTON COUNTY & DICKINSON ⚠️
The National Weather Service continues to monitor a tropical disturbance in the Gulf that is expected to bring multiple rounds of heavy rainfall to Southeast Texas through Thursday. A Flood Watch remains in effect for Galveston County, and forecasters are warning that flash flooding, street flooding, and rising water in low-lying areas are possible.
Current forecasts indicate an additional 3-7 inches of rain across the region, with isolated locations potentially receiving even higher amounts. A Tropical Storm Watch has also been issued for portions of the Galveston County coast as conditions continue to develop. Residents should be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions, ponding on roadways, and possible flooding of streets, creeks, and drainage areas.
