This past Saturday, the Task Force hosted a catalytic converter etching event, at McRee Ford Dickinson Texas and etched over 50 vehicles.

GULF COAST AUTO CRIMES DETECTIVES HONORED AT MVCPA CONFERENCE.
The Gulf Coast Auto Crimes Task Force continues to set the standard.
At this year’s annual MVCPA Conference, Detectives J. Linkey, M. Silvas, and C. Guyton were honored with the Excellence Award for their outstanding work on the Catalytic Converter Grant.
This multi-agency task force comprised of the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, League City Police Department, La Marque Police Department, Galveston Police Department, and Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office represents what can be accomplished through strong partnerships and relentless dedication.
We are proud to have detectives like these leading the way. Their hard work and commitment directly impact our ability to protect our communities every day.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝘂𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻

On June 8, 2026, 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝟲𝟵 and 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝟳𝟭, both of Hitchcock, Texas, arrived at the 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 to obtain a 68-A vehicle inspection for a bonded title.
During the inspection, a task force investigator discovered both individuals to be in possession of multiple crack co***ne pipes and approximately 𝟭𝟵.𝟱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲.

The Galveston County District Attorney’s Office accepted charges of 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 (Penalty Group 1, 4g–200g), a second-degree felony. Both individuals were transported to the 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆 𝗝𝗮𝗶𝗹, where bonds were set at $75,000 each.

While the Task Force is always available to assist the public, we recommend ensuring you’re not in possession of illegal narcotics before voluntarily visiting a law enforcement facility.

The 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 is a multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional unit funded by the 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗠𝗩𝗖𝗣𝗔). Participating agencies include the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Galveston Police Department, La Marque Police Department, and the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office. The task force conducts criminal investigations, crime prevention initiatives, and provides analytical support to law enforcement agencies throughout the region.
