📣Important Update: Student Information System Transition

Dickinson Public School is participating in a statewide initiative to improve student information systems across North Dakota. As part of this project, we will transition from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus this summer.

👉What’s Changing
By mid‑July, Infinite Campus will become our active student information system. At that time, the PowerSchool Parent and Student Portals will be retired and replaced with new Infinite Campus Parent and Student Portals.

👉For Parents & Guardians
Once Infinite Campus is live, you will receive an email from Dickinson Public School with instructions to activate your new Campus Parent Portal account.

Through this portal, you’ll be able to:
◾Review household information
◾Monitor student grades
◾Access important school updates

👉For Students
At the start of the school year, students will be guided through the setup of their Campus Student Portal—both on the web and through the mobile app.

👉Stay Tuned
More information will be shared as we move through this transition. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our systems for families and students.

She is a trusted resource for staff across the district and is known for her efficiency, problem-solving, and commitment to making sure things are done right.

🏗️ DHS Construction Update

One of the most visible changes at Dickinson High School this summer is happening outside the building. An improvement many students, families, staff, and visitors have hoped to see for years: a new parking lot.

Inside the building, progress continues throughout the new addition. Classrooms are receiving finishes, flooring is being installed, and hallways are beginning to look more like the learning spaces students will soon call home.

The new auditorium is also taking shape. Concrete work continues in the seating area, bringing the space one step closer to hosting concerts, performances, ceremonies, and community events.

Every week brings visible progress, and it is exciting to see both long-awaited improvements and new opportunities for students becoming a reality.

Thank you to our community for your support of this project. Because of your investment in our schools, we are not only creating modern learning spaces for students, but also addressing long-standing facility needs that will benefit students, staff, families, and visitors for years to come.

📢Public Notice: Destruction of Special Education Records from 2020–2021

The Dickinson Public Schools Special Education Department is in the process of clearing out records that are outdated and no longer educationally relevant. North Dakota state law requires that we keep special education records for a minimum of three years after a student leaves the district. After public notification, these records may be destroyed to make room for new files.

This serves as official notice that records from the 2020–2021 school year are scheduled for destruction 30 days from the date of this notice unless we receive a request from you to retain them. Please note that, by law, we may release records only to the former student—not to a parent, grandparent, or guardian—unless we receive verbal or written consent from the former student.

If you wish to keep your records, please call 701-456-0002 ext 2207 and provide a mailing address where they can be sent. If we do not hear from you within 30 days, the records will be destroyed. Thank you for your cooperation.

Programs like the Certified Nursing Assistant program at Southwest Area CTE Academy are doing more than helping students earn certifications; they are helping build the future healthcare workforce for our region. 🩺

Last week, 22 students were recognized during the CNA Pinning Ceremony after completing their certification program, many of whom are now prepared to step directly into healthcare roles this summer.

As healthcare facilities in our region continue to face workforce shortages, programs like this, led by Ms. Guillaume and Mrs. Silbernagel, create meaningful opportunities for students while helping meet important community needs.

For many students, this is the beginning of a pathway into nursing, healthcare, and service to others.

We are so proud of these students and grateful to the educators and healthcare partners who help provide these opportunities right here in Dickinson.

On Sunday, we celebrated the Class of 2026 and all they’ve accomplished during their time at Dickinson High School. 🎓

These graduates are more than students leaving high school behind. They are future leaders, dreamers, innovators, caregivers, and changemakers who will leave their mark on the world in ways we cannot yet imagine.

As they head into their next chapter, we wish them nothing but success, happiness, and opportunity.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. The future is yours. 👏

Happy Last Day of School, DPS! ☀️🎉

What a fun way to wrap up the 2025–2026 school year.

Today was filled with field days, picnics, games, celebrations, water fun, laughter, and countless memories made with classmates, teachers, and staff.

From classrooms to playgrounds, students and staff finished the year the best way possible, together and having fun.

As we close another school year, we want to thank our incredible students, staff, families, and community for the support, encouragement, and care you bring to our schools every day. It takes all of us working together to create the experiences and opportunities that make DPS special.

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and well deserved summer break. See you next school year! 😎
