Congratulations to the DHS Wind Ensemble for advancing to the TMEA 6A Honor Band State Semi-Finals for the first time in school history! Only 23 6A Bands in the entire state had the honor of advancing this far, and we will compete to advance to finals this July in San Antonio! Way to go, Wind Ensemble! 🐊🎉

🎭🏆 Dickinson ISD Fine Arts is proud to celebrate a major honor from the Texas Educational Theatre Association!

Dickinson Independent School District has been recognized as an Exemplary District through the Texas Educational Theatre Association's Awards of Distinction program. In addition, both McAdams Junior High and Kranz Junior High earned recognition as Exemplary Middle Schools.

These prestigious honors recognize schools and districts that demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality theatre education, student achievement, community engagement, and excellence in the arts.

This recognition reflects the dedication of our theatre directors, educators, students, administrators, families, and community members who work together to create outstanding opportunities for young performers to learn, grow, and shine on stage.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make this achievement possible. We are proud to be part of a district where the arts continue to thrive!

Our band leadership team is already putting in the time, energy, and dedication to prepare for the year ahead. Their commitment to serving others, leading by example, and striving for excellence helps ensure that the proud tradition of the Dickinson Gator Band continues for future generations.

Band excellence is shining across Dickinson ISD! 🎶🐊

Congratulations to the Dickinson High School Wind Ensemble for tying for 1st place in the high school division at the Texas Music Educators Association Honor Band Competition!

Congratulations also to the Kranz Junior High Honors Band for earning 1st place overall in the junior high band division!

Both bands advanced to the Area round and will compete later this month for the top spot. We are so proud of these talented student musicians, their directors and the continued legacy of excellence in Gator Nation!
