Windridge’s Programs
Therapeutic Riding Program provides an innovative form of therapy while teaching equestrian skills. The development of equestrian skills improves a client’s mobility, thought processes and communication. The development of skills improves self-esteem and fosters self-sufficiency. Hippotherapy Program – Hippo is Greek for horse – hippotherapy is “therapy with the help of the h
orse” and a licensed physical, occupational, or speech therapist is involved in the direct treatment of the client. Equine Services for Heroes Program serves our veterans. Veterans who served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm have participated in Windridge’s programs. Windridge seeks to be a part of the therapy and life-skill development needed by veterans who served in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Educational Program – Windridge has stepped forward to provide education to individuals seeking to receive their therapeutic riding instructor certification and/or increase their knowledge of therapeutic riding. Windridge has taken the step to co-author a textbook for the Equine Assisted Services (EAS) industry.
