Cub Scout Pack 55 of Dexter - Brownville - Lyme - Sackets Harbor We are Cub Scout Pack 55, based in Dexter, NY.

Our Pack includes Scouts from the surrounding communities; the Towns of Brownville, Lyme and Hounsfield. Anyone interested in being a member of our Pack is welcome to join, regardless of where they live.

As another scouting season comes to a close, we want to thank every scout, parent, leader, and volunteer who made this year unforgettable. From campfires and campouts to service projects, adventures, and countless memories, this season was filled with growth, teamwork, and fun.

We watched scouts challenge themselves, learn new skills, build friendships, and show what it truly means to lead and serve others. None of it would be possible without the dedication and support of our amazing scouting families and community.

Thank you for a fantastic season. We’re proud of everything our scouts accomplished and can’t wait to see what next year brings. Until then — enjoy the summer and keep the scouting spirit alive!

Our Lions and Tigers celebrated our final den meeting of the year with a fun cookout and hands-on activities! The scouts reviewed skills they learned throughout the year while focusing on teamwork and communication. Activities included a Scout Oath challenge, Macaroni Morse Code challenge, Six Essentials relay race, and a Cross the River challenge. It was a great way to wrap up an awesome year of learning, leadership, and fun together!

🚢⚓ What an incredible adventure, Pack 55! ⚓🚢

Our Cub Scouts had an unforgettable overnight aboard the USS Little Rock in Buffalo! From exploring the ship’s decks to learning about life at sea, every moment was packed with excitement and discovery!

Sleeping aboard a real naval vessel was a highlight for many of our Scouts—an experience they won’t soon forget! 🌙⭐ Along the way, they built new friendships, practiced their scouting skills, and gained a deeper appreciation for our nation’s history.

What a great weekend at our Cub Scout camping trip! Scouts enjoyed hiking the trails, building bird houses, learning knife safety and whittling, and practicing important outdoor skills like knot tying. They also gave back with a service project to help improve the camp.

The weekend was filled with a family dinner, a fun talent show, campfire skits, lots of laughs, and plenty of good food. These moments are what scouting is all about—building life skills, confidence, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime. So proud of all our Scouts! 🏕️🪢🔪🐦

Pack 55 held their annual Pinewood Derby on Saturday, and what an incredible event it was! The Scouts put their creativity and hard work on display with some truly amazing car designs. From start to finish, the excitement was high and a great time was had by all.

Pack 55 celebrated 116 years of Scouting tonight at our Blue and Gold Banquet! Scouts enjoyed snacks, games, and of course — cake! 🎂

It was a great evening of fun, friendship, and celebrating everything that makes Scouting special. We’re proud of all our Scouts and the memories we continue to build together.

Pack 55 held our annual Rain Gutter Regatta last night, and the Scouts did an awesome job designing, building, and racing their boats! 🚤 The creativity and sportsmanship on display made for a fun and exciting evening for everyone.

Now it’s time to start prepping for the Pinewood Derby! 🏁 Great job, Scouts — keep up the great work!

Pack 55 celebrated Christmas with our annual Christmas party—and we even had a special guest! 🎅🎄 A great time was had by all. Merry Christmas!

Our Scouts have proudly volunteered their last two Saturday mornings for Scouting for Food—first by delivering flyers and then by returning to collect donations.
A huge thank you to the Dexter Community for your generosity and support! Because of your donations, we’re able to help stock our local food bank and make a meaningful impact for families in need.
We’re grateful for this amazing community and for the Scouts who showed up ready to serve. 💙💛
