School environments need to be de-politicized. I have parents that have requested I help them in their local districts to remove the flags that they feel does not create an environment that is conducive to learning. From LGBTQ+ flags to confederate flags to BLM flags. The reality is these flags represent personal ideology but the foundation of public education is the collective commitment to a country that pursues the freedom to be an individual through academic excellence. A safe environment for all is an environment that will display the American flag, our state flag and an unwavering commitment to de-politicize the divisive environment that is currently plaguing our growth. Michigan is 44th in the Nation in 4th grade reading. Banning parents that are trying to address this issue isn’t going to help. Removing flags that don’t serve the learning environment of kids will.

Today, the Michigan Department of Education developed and presented standards for the Preparation of Teachers of Visual Arts. MDE has overstepped their authority by developing the standards that the State Board adopts for decades. And no one has challenged them.

This comes on the heels of decertifying special education teachers.

MDEs cycle: Grab power. Abuse power. Education declines.

I would like to post that and answer the one question he is asking that is appropriate. “Yes. I did get s*x education in school. At that time, it was rooted in biological reproductive anatomy that didn’t ask me to consider whether I was born in the right body which is now leading students to the suppression of how their body was made to work with hormones that come with real medical risks and to question whether they should have their breasts surgically removed before they even consider whether they would want to use them to breastfeed a baby someday, or to permanently deform their p***s in a way that puts them at risk of requiring urinary catheterization for the rest of their lives.”

I’ve sat with these parents and they know the school leaders should be held accountable for their failures. Our schools must be safe for our children.

MASA says female speakers, and not female-identifying speakers, will present at this event. So I’m assuming the speakers have vaginas. But how would you know if you don’t talk about reproductive anatomy? And s*x education statute in Michigan triggers mandatory parental notification and consent when you teach reproductive health education.

I’m asking for every parent that deserves to decide how to raise their child up in the way they believe they should go — which is every parent in the State of Michigan.
