In connection with the Dexter District Library, we are repeating our Historic Forest Lawn Cemetery tour as part of the Dexter Bicentennial celebration on Sunday September 29 2 - 4 pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8095 Grand Street in Dexter. The tour will include the history of the cemetery and actors portraying members of Judge Dexter’s family. This will be a repeat of the tour offered in May of this year. Tour participants will be in small groups with a guide. Note, the tour involves a lot of walking over uneven ground. There are three times to sign up for (2:00, 2:30 or 3:00), registration is mandatory and space is limited. Register on the Dexter Library’s events calendar: https://dexter.lib.mi.us/events/ and check the September 29th box or call 734-426-4477. The cemetery tour is free, although donations will be accepted for the Forest Lawn Cemetery Tree Fund for those who wish to contribute.
