I want to start by saying thank you!! Thank you for the support, for the encouragement, and for believing in me!! I am still smiling this morning. I am smiling because I have HOPE. I have gained a new perspective of our community. A perspective which has truly opened my eyes.

For a campaign that utilized ten handmade signs(they took much longer than I thought to make), buttons, and word of mouth, I am extremely proud of what we accomplished ! This is just the beginning for me. All of the support I received has lit a fire in me. A fire that will not be extinguished anytime soon!! There is a lot more work to do and I promise to continue to fight and to be a voice for ALL!!

Having open and honest conversations with those that have different views, is what will keep our district and community headed in the direction it needs to go. I am tired of being quiet and sitting back just observing. Getting out in the community and talking to people of varying backgrounds, has been one of the most eye opening experiences of my life. Together we can accomplish anything!!!

No matter the results of this election, I will not back down from ensuring that our community and our schools are a sanctuary of safety for all.

As we are getting closer to November 7th and Election Day, I am feeling incredibly fired up and optimistic. I know that we can come together to be the voice for positive change. I promise to continue to fight for our district, our students, and our teachers.
