We extend our deepest condolences to the Ballard family and thank them for allowing us to be part of honoring Lloyd’s life and service.

At tonight’s board meeting, Chief Braska welcomed our newest member, Mike Wroblewski. Mike comes to us with a wealth of fire and EMS experience and is a fully certified Firefighter/EMT. We are excited to see how his experience will benefit our already excellent team.

We also held a formal pinning ceremony to celebrate Firefighter Tyler Grogitsky successfully completing his probationary period. Tyler has been with us for approximately two years and has excelled in all aspects of his role. We are confident he will continue to do a great job as a fully certified member.

Congratulations to you both!

Congratulations, Firefighter Tyler Grogitsky!

Please join us in congratulating Firefighter Tyler Grogitsky on completing his probationary period and becoming a certified member of our department.

Tyler joined us as a certified firefighter from another agency and has worked hard to further his training—becoming a certified EMT, completing his probationary manual, and quickly becoming an incredible asset to our team. He dedicates countless volunteer hours to medical standbys at football games, fire prevention events, and additional training, all while balancing a full-time job and being a new dad.

As part of the celebration, Chief Braska presented Tyler with his helmet shield, marking his official transition from probationary firefighter to certified member.

Congratulations, Tyler — you’ve earned it!

Pictures from the Christmas Market so far!

Our firefighters spent the afternoon downtown for community engagement and conducted a burn-cell demonstration to highlight the fire hazards created by not watering your live Christmas tree.

Come see us in the parade at 5:30 PM!

🥞 A huge thank-you to everyone who joined us for our Pancake Breakfast last weekend! 🚒

We truly cannot do what we do without the support of our community. This event is one of our favorite ways to show our appreciation, and every year you clear your Sunday to spend the morning with us and enjoy a breakfast served by your firefighters.

Your donations make a tremendous difference. They allow us to purchase important equipment and gear for our members to supplement what the municipalities already provide.

Past purchases include:
• A LUCAS CPR machine
• Helmet lights
• Water-repellent coats with reflective trim for nighttime safety
• Res-Q Wrenches

We haven’t officially decided on this year’s purchase yet, but we are exploring options such as covers for our SCBA masks to create a more realistic training environment during search and rescue, among other possibilities.

Thank you again for your continued support. We’re proud to serve this community, and we’re grateful for each of you who allows us to do what we do. See you next year!

🚒 September Training Recap

This month, our firefighters focused on two important training scenarios: MAYDAY/Firefighter Rescue and Tree Stand Rescue.

🔹 During the MAYDAY training, firefighters refreshed their knowledge on when and how to call a MAYDAY. A Rapid Intervention Crew (RIC) then located and rescued them from the building.

🔹 In the Tree Stand Rescue scenario, crews were divided into groups and sent into the woods to find a patient who had called 911 with chest pain before becoming unconscious. Firefighters safely brought the patient to the ground, performed an assessment, and packaged them for transport.

Our firefighters continually train to sharpen their skills so we can serve our community when it matters most!
