This Memorial Day, Dewey Fire Department would like to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Our crew left Woodward, Ok this morning to assist Ashland, Kansas with a large fire they have been battling for multiple days. They should be headed back home tonight. Helping neighbors in need!

We have sent 1 brush truck & 2 guys to western Oklahoma with the Washington County Strike Team to assist with wildfires. Keep the team in your prayers for a safe trip.

We would like to introduce our new to us Engine 4!  We want to thank the Dewey City Council for approving the purchase of our newest engine for the Dewey Fire Department. This addition will help us continue improving our response capabilities and better serve and protect the citizens of Dewey. We appreciate the council’s continued support of our department and our mission to keep the community safe.

Just before noon today Dewey Fire was dispatched for a smoke investigation off 3980rd. Engine 4, Tanker 8 and Brush 3 responded with 7 personnel. Engine 4 arrived on scene and found a camper to be well involved. Crews worked on extinguishing the fire & overhaul. We were on scene for roughly 1 hour.
