Congratulations to Detroit’s own Shawn Smith! From the Herman Gardens Projects and Cody High School to the biggest stage in football, Shawn Smith was selected as the Head Referee for Super Bowl LX, making him one of the few black referees in NFL history to lead a Super Bowl crew. Yesterday, the Detroit City Council proudly honored him during formal sessions. Shawn, you’ve made the entire city of Detroit proud, and we wish you continued success!
