Built in 1927, the home was owned for 25-years by the “greatest singer of all time,” as named by Rolling Stone, Aretha Franklin. And just prior, it was home to feminist, artist and original Lone Ranger actress, Patricia Hill Burnett.
Nestled on the Detroit Golf Club, the majestic Tudor overlooks the 7th hole as designed by Donald Ross with support from club member, Henry Ford.
The Rose shines in nearly 7,000 square feet of elaborate tiling, wood carvings, brick and stone arches, five fireplaces, and rose chandeliers.
Restoring this historic gem will require a labor of love. From abandonment these past 10 years, we'll bring back its heartbeat of history. You’re invited to follow our progress as we embark on this mission together.
