City Life West Mentoring Program, a division of Youth For Christ of Detroit, was developed to help Mentors build a personal relationship with our Youth by using Relational Evangelism while they also develop a personal relationship with GOD These relationships will allow the young adult to make positive connections between their Mentors,the world of work, school and their community. Young Adults w
ill be helped to develop a personal relationship with GOD,personal skills and career awareness in order to make better life-long decisions and
contributions. An alarming number of young children and teens are disconnected from the mainstream of our society. They have been labeled “at risk” because of the harsh realities of their lives. If these young people remain disconnected, we will lack the skilled, motivated workers to sustain our economy. We will have denied these young people the chance to lead healthy, fulfilling, productive lives. A proven way to help young people to build a strong personal foundation is mentoring--the relationship between a caring adult and a young person.
