Without a meaningful FIRST OPPORTUNITY the only recourse will be to reoffend. This does not reduce the rate of recidivism. It does not help the returning citizen gain employment. There should be no barrier to getting it right the first time after incarceration.
I will fight for immediate expungement for eligible cases once a parole is granted. Other cases that otherwise was said not to qualify - I will fight for them to be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
