Hurst Middle School: Summer Prep & Uniform Guide!
Happy Summer, Roadrunner families! While you are taking a well-deserved break, we want to help you get a head start on your back-to-school shopping. ☀️🛍️
To make things easy, here is your quick guide to the Harry Hurst dress code and campus policies for the upcoming school year:
👕 Daily Uniform Essentials
• Shirts: Solid green or white collared shirts.
• Spirit Shirts: Green Hurst Official Spirit Shirts can be worn any day.
• Bottoms: Khaki or navy pants, shorts, skirts, or joggers.
• Length Rule: Shorts or skirts cannot be shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
🧥 Pullovers & Outerwear
• Hurst Pullovers: Official green Hurst pullovers are approved daily.
• Crewnecks: Solid white, grey, green, or black pullover sweatshirts are allowed. If they have a logo, it cannot be bigger than a fist (pocket logo size).
• Heavy Jackets: Outerwear that unzips, snaps, or buttons fully can be any color and worn any day.
• 🛑 Important Hoodie Rule: No hooded apparel is allowed on campus. Please keep this in mind when buying jackets and sweatshirts!
🗓️ Friday Spirit Days
• On Fridays, students can wear other Hurst club shirts, sports shirts, and Hurst pullovers with their standard school uniform pants.
🚫 What to Leave Off Your Shopping List:
Before you hit the stores, remember that these items are not allowed on campus:
• ❌ Any clothing with a hood
• ❌ Cargo pants or cargo shorts
• ❌ Leggings
💧 Water Bottle Reminder
When picking out a water bottle for the new year, please remember our safety policy:
• ✅ Allowed: Clear, completely transparent water bottles.
• ❌ Not Allowed: Metal or colored/translucent plastic bottles should be left at home.
