πŸ“’ Utility Billing Update

The City of DeSoto is pleased to announce that Cycle 2 utility bills have been generated.

Customers enrolled in paperless (electronic) billing should have received their bills on June 17, 2026.

We are currently working with our bill print vendor to finalize additional modifications to paper bills. As a result, customers who receive paper bills should begin receiving them by the end of next week.

Customers using scheduled payments (Auto-Pay) through the online portal will need to complete a one-time update to their account and payment information to ensure future payments process correctly.

Step-by-step instructions are available at DeSotoTexas.gov/UtilityBilling

For questions or assistance, please contact Utility Billing at 972-230-9627.

✨ Celebrating Service, Leadership, and Community

During last night's special City Council meeting, the City of DeSoto recognized outstanding residents whose achievements and acts of service help make our community stronger.

πŸ’§ The City honored participants in the second annual Every Drop Counts Water Conservation Art Contest. Student artists were recognized for using their creativity to promote water conservation, and their artwork will be featured in the 2027 Every Drop Counts Calendar. Special congratulations to Journey Wilson, whose artwork was selected for this year's official Every Drop Counts T-shirt.

πŸ‘ Mayor Rachel Proctor presented Mayoral Commendations to Pastor Nathaniel L. Green Sr., Asani Lewis, Oscar Sanchez, and Kea Thomas for their compassionate actions in assisting DeSoto resident Reginald Taylor during a medical emergency. Their quick response and willingness to help exemplify the very best of community service.

πŸŽ“ The Council also celebrated Zachary Hudson Jovon Carroll, recipient of the Best Southwest Partnership Mayoral Scholarship. Zachary's academic achievements, leadership, and commitment to service have earned him this well-deserved recognition as he prepares to attend Texas A&M University this fall.

Congratulations to all of our honorees for making a positive impact in our community.
