Golden Eagle Family and Friends,

I am writing with great sadness to inform you that one of our students, Hector Nunez Ramirez, passed away last Friday. Our thoughts and sympathies are with his family and friends.

I was able to go to each of his classes and share the unfortunate news with his peers. I reminded them that we are all here to offer support should they need to speak with someone, need help processing the information, and/or just need a quiet place to collect themselves the next few days.

To respect the privacy of the family, that is all the information we have been asked to share.

Members of our Wellness Team are available to meet with students individually and in groups today as well as over the coming days and weeks in room 280. Please contact the school office if you feel your child is in need of additional assistance; we have a list of additional school and community mental health resources.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or the school counselors with any questions or concerns. It is times like these that bring our community together and allow us to lean on each other as we support those that need it the most.
