Today, the Desert Hot Springs High School Public Safety Academy Cadets participated in the United 13 1.3-Mile Walk, honoring the 13 U.S. service members who lost their lives in Kabul, Afghanistan, on August 26, 2021. 🇺🇸

Our Cadets walked in remembrance, respect, and gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our nation. We are humbled to do our small part in honoring the fallen and in supporting the families and fellow service members who carry their legacy forward.

Congratulations to our Cadet graduates Karma Herrera and Brelle Herrera for receiving a scholarship from the DHS Desert Hot Springs Women's Club! Way to represent The City of Desert Hot Springs , Desert Hot Springs High School, and PSA! We continue to wish you all the best as you work toward your careers in the medical field!

Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and the freedoms that unite us as Americans. As you gather with family and friends, enjoy the festivities, and watch the fireworks, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly and help keep our community safe.

Our officers will be on patrol throughout the holiday weekend, working to ensure everyone can enjoy a safe and memorable Independence Day.
