In Loving Memory of Larry “Bones” Bonander 🕯️🤍
Our community mourns the loss of Larry Bonander, a beloved friend and true pillar of our community, who passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025.
Many knew Larry as “Bones”—not only for his days as a football player with the San Francisco 49ers, but also for his strength of character and kindness of spirit.
Later known to many as “The Sandman,” Larry built a highly successful professional career marked by dedication, integrity, and fairness. Those same traits carried through every aspect of his life. Larry was a tireless advocate for the Sagebrush Senior Center, where he devoted countless hours to organizing events, mentoring others, and volunteering his time.
Most recently, he served with great pride on our Board of Directors.
Larry found joy in sharing his passions and experiences with others. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering integrity touched countless lives and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He was a friend to many and a hero to all—a man whose presence inspired others to be better. Larry will be missed deeply, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
