Donauschwaben Chicago Frauengruppe

Donauschwaben Chicago Frauengruppe To support the Danube Swabians and fulfill all our obligations to the furtherment of the charitable organization that we are a part of.

Our dedicated women are the heart and soul of our organization. We meet monthly and work on projects. The women of our club promote the mission of our organizatoin and work on service projects that further our charitable donation. We believe in giving service to the local community, and continue to collect items for the Des Plaines Food Pantry and Closet. Linus Project - blankets is one of our current projects.

It was a great Frauengruppe meeting on 5/16. After the meeting we had a Mother's day luncheon. We also celebrated the oldest and youngest mom by giving them a hanging basket of flowers.

Thank you to everyone that volunteered and purchased cookies/ rum balls for the Frauengruppe Christmas Cookie Sale. We all had a great time making them and carrying on the Donauschwaben tradition (see photos). Our next meeting will be March 14, come and join us for the first meeting of the year.

What a great Frauengruppe Christmas party! So thankful for all our members and all the volunteer work done during the year! See everyone at the club Christmas party December 13. Lunch will start at 11am. Don't forget to pick up your pre orders of homemade Donau cookies.
