Latina Leadership Initiative of Greater Des Moines

The Latina Leadership Initiative of Greater Des Moines (LLI) is the only leadership development program focused on Latina women in Iowa. LLI focuses on filling a gap in the lack of culturally appropriate leadership training for emerging Latina leaders, ages 20 and above and cultivates social responsibility and attention to the needs of the broader Latino/x community. LLI participants receive the encouragement necessary to realize their potential through leadership training, focusing on personal growth, professional advancement, and community networking and engagement. The empowered participant will serve on boards, commissions, and in leadership roles throughout our communities.

We enjoyed a wonderful day with Mónica Reyes, an incredible expert in the financial world!

We also had the opportunity to participate in an insightful financial workshop led by Rafael Colón from Chase Bank. Their knowledge, experience, and dedication to empowering our community made the day truly special.

We are incredibly grateful to our community partners, speakers, and everyone who continues to support and invest in Latina leadership. Together, we are building bridges, creating opportunities, and empowering the next generation of Latina leaders.

✨ Meet Jazlynn, the imaginative owner behind Pétalos con Paz!

Jazlynn designs and creates floral arrangements with the vision of transforming life’s moments into unforgettable experiences. Her love for flowers grew after creating an arrangement for her mom's birthday, where she discovered her passion for creating floral pieces that help people celebrate, comfort, and connect with the people they love. 🌸💐

✨ Meet Sandra, the owner and executive officer behind Jireh Services LLC!

Sandra and her team help clients organize and declutter their homes, offices, and garages so they can spend more quality time with their families—and have more peace in their everyday lives. Her belief is simple: less clutter, more peace. 🧹✨

Sandra was inspired to start her business because she understands how stressful life can become when people work all day, only to come home and face more work (cleaning and organizing). She wants to give people back their time so they can focus on their families, themselves, and the moments that matter most. ❤️
