School meal menus at DMPS may change this week as DMPS Central Nutrition Center staff work around a fire sprinkler break and subsequent flooding at the building.

The most important things to remember:

✅ Breakfast and lunch will continue to be provided to all students at no cost to families.

✅State and local health officials are providing guidance regarding cleanup and food safety.

✅The district will share additional information with families and staff if there are significant changes to school meal service.

Today our houses got together for the first time. Each house created a house chant and shared it with others during the assembly in the gym. It was a fun afternoon!

Willard Wildcats 6 Houses, 1 Family!

PURPOSE OF OUR HOUSE SYSTEM

This year, we are excited to introduce a school-wide house system! Every student and staff member will be sorted into one of our distinct school houses. This system is designed to foster a strong sense of community, belonging, and friendly competition across all grade levels. Students will remain in their house throughout their time at Willard, working together to earn house points for demonstrating positive behavior, teamwork, and school spirit. Through shared house events, spirit days, and mentorship opportunities, our house system helps ensure every child feels connected, supported, and celebrated within a smaller family inside our larger school community.

INFO TO KNOW

Students have the opportunity to earn house points daily by demonstrating purpose, agency, collaboration, empathy, adaptability, and self-awareness. A house winner will be determined at the end of each quarter and earn a prize!

Every student is receiving a house shirt. Each Friday we encourage students to wear their house shirt or wear a shirt that matches their house color to show their house pride! Once a month we will have a day that students can go all out wearing their house colors. More details to come on this! We look forward to implementing an exciting new school-wide system!
