Hy-Vee, Inc. customers donated $295,935 to support food banks and pantries across the Midwest through checkout roundups, food-bag purchases and online contributions in the Back-to-School Community Food Drive.
“No child should have to start the school year wondering where their next meal is coming from,” Jeremy Gosch, chairman and CEO of Hy-Vee & IBC Member said in a prepared statement. “That’s why our stores quickly stepped up to support local food pantries, which remain in need of food and funds. The results of our campaign have been great to see, thanks to the efforts made by our employees, customers and partners who continue to help reduce hunger in our communities.”
Hy-Vee raised $295,935 for food banks and pantries across the Midwest through its Back-to-School Community Food Drive, held Aug. 15-23. Each Hy-Vee store selected a local organization to benefit from donations made by customers through checkout roundups, food-bag purchases and online contributions.....
