Everyone should be able to make their voice heard at the ballot box.

As we recognize Disability Rights Week and look ahead to the November 3 General Election, remember that Iowa offers accessible voting options for voters with disabilities.

Every polling place has an accessible voting machine, and curbside voting is available for voters who cannot enter the polling place. Voters may also request assistance marking or casting their ballot. Know your options and make a plan to vote this November by visiting sos.iowa.gov/disabilities.

On National Police Woman Day, I’m grateful for the courage, dedication and professionalism these women bring to the job every day. Leaders like Lt. Elizabeth Quinn, pictured here, go above and beyond to help us raise awareness about human trafficking in Iowa and work toward making our state a place where trafficking has no place.
