Shënimi i 27 vjetorit të Ditës së Çlirimit mblodhi shumë miq të Kosovës në Iowa dhe bashkatdhetarë nga disa shtete të Midwestit në Shtetet e Bashkuara.

Pritja e organizuar më 12 qershor në qytetin e Johnstonit, u nderua me praninë e Presidentes së Senatit të Iowas, Amy Sinclair, kryetares së qytetit të Johnstonit, Paula Dierenfeld, kryetares së kryeqytetit të Iowas, Des Moines, Connie Boesen, Gjeneral Brigade Mark G. Kappelmann dhe Col. Charles Lampe nga Garda Kombëtare e Iowas, komandantit të Veteranëve të Iowas, Todd Jacobus, Gjeneral Major Timothy Orr, Brigadier General Steve Warnstadt, si dhe shumë miqve të Kosovës në Iowa.

Të pranishëm ishin edhe pjesëtarë të Forca e Sigurisë së Kosovës (FSK) dhe një delegacion i Kuvendit të Kosovës, i cili po qëndron për vizitë në Iowa.

The celebration of the 27th anniversary of Kosova’s Liberation Day brought together many friends of Kosova in Iowa, as well as members of the diaspora from several Midwestern states across the United States.

The event, organized on June 12 in the City of Johnston, was honored by the presence of Iowa Senate President Sinclair, Johnston Mayor Paula Dierenfeld, Des Moines Mayor Connie Boesen, Brigadier General Mark G. Kappelmann and Col. Charles Lampe of the , Iowa Veterans Commander .jacobus , Major General (Ret) Tim Orr, Brigadier General (Ret) , as well as many friends of Kosova throughout Iowa.

Also in attendance were members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) and a delegation from the Parliament of Kosova, which is currently visiting Iowa.

This day commemorates the resilience, courage, and determination of the Kosovar people and marks an important milestone in the nation's history. As sister cities, City of Ames - City Government and Komuna e Podujevës share a commitment to friendship, cultural exchange, education, and building stronger communities through international partnership.

On behalf of the Ames International Partner Cities Association and the Ames community, we wish our friends in Podujeva a joyful and meaningful Kosovo Liberation Day.
