Today the DeRidder Lions Club welcomed Leah Cooper, author of Recollections of a Well-Lived Life featuring stories of her father Roy Ades.

Lion Roy was former DeRidder Lion, a Melvin Jones Fellowship winner and past Executive Director of the Greater DeRidder Chamber of Commerce.

A memorial brick in his honor is placed at the Louisiana Lions Club.

Today, the DeRidder Lions Club welcomed Zane Lewis, funeral director at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder who spoke on the importance of funeral planning and more.

Lion President Chance Lewis inducted Sarah Lewis as a new member of the club.
