In the CT Insider piece by Dan Haar, he points out an important development in the race for Governor: Ryan Fazio is expected to gain the Independent Party ballot line, while Ned Lamont declined to even seek it.

Fazio submitted 15,658 signatures, more than twice the 7,500 required, and made his case directly to Independent Party leaders. Haar notes that while no one can know exactly how many votes the additional ballot line will bring, it could mean thousands of additional votes in November and could matter in a close election.

More importantly, it fits the message Ryan Fazio has been taking across Connecticut. Lower energy costs. Lower taxes. More manufacturing and good-paying jobs. Local control. Accountability in Hartford.

These aren't just Republican issues. They're Connecticut issues.

Fazio is building a campaign that can reach Republicans, Independents, unaffiliated voters and Democrats who simply believe Connecticut can do better.

What an incredible night as the Derby, Ansonia, Beacon Falls, and Seymour Republican Town Committees came together for a fantastic combined RTC meeting! The room was packed with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to taking our state and our country in a new direction.

We were honored to welcome Matt Corey, John Bolton, Chris Lancia, and Nicole Klarides-Ditria, who each spoke about their campaigns, their vision, and the importance of this election. Their passion was contagious, and it’s clear we have strong leaders ready to fight for the people of Connecticut.

The excitement in the room proved what we’ve been seeing across our communities: Republicans are energized, united, and ready to bring real change to Connecticut. People are tired of the status quo and are stepping up because they know our state can do better.

No excuse absentee ballots is now like in CT!!!! Just click the link and put in your Driver License and you’ll get a ballot smh 🤦🏻‍♂️ So this means that the man from West Hartford that is illegal and a registered voter would receive a ballot in the mail!!! This needs to be stopped immediately.

What a shame. The people of Derby elected Joseph Martino to serve as mayor, yet it feels as though Marc Garofalo is calling the shots. Now, his close friend Sean Grace has been hired as Chief Administrative Officer. A quick look at Grace's public record and his time in Hamden raises serious questions about that decision. With Derby facing so many challenges, residents deserve to know why the administration believed he was the right choice and what qualifications made him the best candidate for the job.
This position hasn't been used in close to 20 years, so why bring it back now? Why wasn't the position publicly posted so qualified candidates could apply? And why was a special meeting needed solely to establish the salary?
The people of Derby deserve transparency, accountability, and leadership that puts the city's interests first.

Derby's Main Street wins big!

CTDOT's Route 34 (Main Street) reconstruction in Derby just earned a 2026 America's Transportation Award from AASHTO, a regional win for Quality of Life/Community Development!

This $18.7M project brought safer intersections, better pedestrian & bike access, expanded parking, and new housing opportunities to downtown Derby.

Congrats to CTDOT, NVCOG, and the City of Derby on this well-earned recognition. Proud of what smart investment can do for our Valley! 🎉
