Derby Line, Vermont An informational page for the village of Derby Line, Vermont. Welcome to the Village of Derby Line, Vermont! Anyone is more than welcome to attend.

The Derby Line Trustees meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM at the village hall. The Derby Line Village Annual meeting is held on the 1st Tuesday of April at 6:30PM. This meeting is the village's equivalent to town meeting and all residents of the village are encouraged to attend to make their voices and votes heard. Volunteers are always wanted to help with the beautification or community day committee. If you are interested, please contact the village.

***RENTAL OF THE VILLAGE HALL***
Village residents - $50 for 4 hours, plus $100 refundable deposit
Non-village residents - $100 for 4 hours, plus $100 refundable deposit

***SEWER & WATER BILLING SCHEDULE***
Payments can be dropped off at the village office during village office hours or anytime at the village hall in the drop box beside the front door.

-Billing on January 1st through March 31 are due on March 1st, 2022
-Billing on April 1st through June 30 are due on June 1st 2022
-Billing on July 1st through September 30 are due on Sept 1st, 2022
-Billing on October 1st through December 31 are due on Dec 1st, 2022

TAX BILLS for the Village are due November 1st

Our Parade of Flags has been a beautiful way to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States!

A special thank you to Colleen Sealander, whose initiative and leadership brought this project to life. We also want to thank our Village workers for their time and hard work installing the flags, and our generous community donors who helped make the display possible:

ATTENTION DERBY LINE WATER USERS - The Boil Water Order for the Village of Derby Line Water District has been lifted. Bacteria samples collected on 8/17/26 tested negative for Coliform Bacteria and E-Coli so water system users can resume normal use of water.

IMPORTANT NOTICE - WATER MAIN FLUSHING

The Village of Derby Line will be flushing hydrants starting on:
May 26, 2026 and continuing through June 5, 2026.

Flushing will occur between 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M.
Water mains are cleaned by opening hydrants and allowing water to escape under high velocity.
Flushing is an important part of maintaining our system.
Flushing may produce temporary discoloration; the safety of the water is not affected.
We advise you to schedule clothes washing and cleaning projects at other times.

During the time the work is being performed, IT IS POSSIBLE
THE ENTIRE SYSTEM WILL BE AFFECTED. Please keep water usage to a minimum during this time. The Village will also be flushing sewer lines at this time.
