We set some middle schooler “taki-traps” today! Visit the DEA little free libraries at Good Intent, DMS, and DHS for a little snack, a bookmark, and a reading slap bracelet! And while you’re there, grab a copy of the middle school summer reading book!!! We went through 100 copies pretty quickly at our summer kickoff this year so we ordered some more! Please take only one. ❤️ And make sure you’re following Deptford Free Public Library for all their summer reading events too!

Another uplifting day with Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity! We are thrilled to be able to give back to our community with some good old elbow grease and a donation too. Make sure to stop the Habitat Restore in Pitman for all your building/tools/furniture needs! We are always impressed with all the great products and great prices too!

Our wonderful ladies from the Deptford Education Association joined us for their annual summer visit!💛🖤 Last year, they braved the mid-summer heat out on our construction site. This year, we were lucky to have their helping hands cooling down and working hard inside our ReStore.

Our mission is built on the volunteer efforts of our community partners. Thank you for spending your summer morning with us here at GCHFH—we already can't wait to see you again next year! 💚💙🏡

Two DEA reading events in one day✅
Our members at Oak Valley hosted a "Books Rock" party! Each student received rock themed goodies like pop rocks, rock candy, and even a pet rock. Then they all painted rocks based on a book they read for their AR goals this year! Each student also received a copy of “The Homework Machine” to read this summer. You guys ROCK!!! 🪨

Thanks to our Lake Tract members for hosting a DEA Books & Bites for 5th graders and their families this afternoon! Each student received a snack and free copy of their summer reading book - “Hideout” - courtesy of the Deptford Education Association. 📖

DEA hosted a 3rd grade spelling bee at Lake Tract this morning. Our students were so proud to show their spelling skills to their families & teachers. Well done to all the participants, and congratulations to our top two teams! 👏
