The Deptford Fire Department represented "Deptford Proud" by participating in the 2025 New Jersey Fireman's Memorial Parade in Wildwood NJ. This parade is held in conjunction with the New Jersey State Fireman's Relief Association Convention. The convention was the 148th annual convention. This parade was the 50th year it has been held in Wildwood.

The volunteer members that make up the Deptford Fire Department, Oak Valley Fire Company, Tacoma Fire Company, Helping Hand Fire Company, Almonesson Fire Company, Union Fire Company of Blackwood Terrace spent many hours of their own time to clean, polish, paint, maintain, and ensure that the apparatus and equipment is in top shape.

The rigorous judging is completed by the New Jersey State Fire Chiefs Judging Association requires that the apparatus and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.

Not only maintaining the apparatus and equipment, the members spent hours on every Monday and Tuesday with marching practice. This included the Firefighters, the Color Guard, The Ladies Auxiliary and the Fire Cadets.

Deptford Proud slogan ensures that the members of the Deptford Fire Department are up to the task of being the Best in the State of New Jersey.

Attached is the the results from all the hard work put in by the volunteers of the Deptford Fire Department.

🚨 1:40pm UPDATE: The leak is mitigated and the Shelter In Place is now lifted.🚨

A PRECAUTIONARY SHELTER IN PLACE is being ordered in Deptford Twp. due to a Hazmat Incident. Portions of Windermere, Cooper Village, and Deptford Memorial Park have been included in this zone.

A chlorine cylinder within a Deptford Twp. MUA facility, at S. Delsea Dr. & South View Ave. experienced aDeptford Fire Departmentate response from Deptford Fire Department and Gloucester County Hazmat was initiated.

Crews mitigated vapors with water suppression while conducting air monitoring in the area.
