Rotary Club of Deptford The Rotary Club of Deptford meets 1st and 3rd Fridays at 12:15 p.m. at the Deptford Olive Garden.

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

•FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

•SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an oppo

rtunity to serve society;

•THIRD: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;

•FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

As we pause to recognize Veterans Day, we come together to honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. This special day is a reminder of the extraordinary commitment our veterans have made to protect and uphold the freedoms we cherish.

From the battlefields of history to present-day missions, these brave men and women have exemplified service, resilience, and patriotism. It is our duty and privilege to show our appreciation and ensure they receive the recognition and support they so rightfully deserve.
On this Veterans Day, let’s take a moment to:
• Reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans and their families.
• Offer our thanks to those we know who have served.
