Over a six week period in July and August, the Deposit Fire Department partnered with the Tuscarora Scout Reservation Staff to review important fire safety information with their Scouts to help them earn their Fire Safety Merit Badges. The ability to use fire safely is essential to human survival. By earning this merit badge, Scouts learned to use fire safely and responsibly, how to prevent home fires, and how to handle fire safely, as well as burn prevention, and camping safety.

Please join us at the Deposit Memorial Park & Village Green on September 11th at 6:30 PM.

We would like to invite everyone to our annual 9/11 Patriot Day Ceremony being held on Friday, September 11, 2006 at 6:30 PM in Memorial Park. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the horrific events that occurred on September 11, 2001.

Our Keynote speakers this year are Randy and Donna Hartz. Both served for over 30 years with the Deposit Fire Department Emergency Squad and were part of the Deposit EMS Team deployed to New York City to aid in the recovery efforts at ground zero.

Before the ceremony, there will be a special presentation to our local Firefighters and EMS Providers with the Deposit Fire Department. This year, the Deposit Fire Department is celebrating 175 years of dedicated service to our community.

Hello Facebook Friends! Our Labor Day Weekend Car Show and Craft Fair is only a week away!

The Deposit Fire Department, Inc. will be hosting the Labor Day Weekend Car Show this year on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Deposit Firemen's Park located at 55 Dublin Street!

We are looking for cars, motorcycles, trucks and tractors! We have moved the show to the park this year to accommodate more vehicles and larger vehicles! We are welcoming commercial vehicles including but not limited to fire trucks, tow trucks, semi trucks, etc.

There will be awards for the following vehicle classes:

Sport Compact or Tunerz - All Years
Import or Foreign - All years
Corvettes C1 - C3
Covettes C4 - Present
Muscle Cars 64 - 79
Production Cars up to 1965
Production Cars 66 - 85
Production Cars 86 - 99
Production Cars 2000 - Present
Modified Cars up to 1965
Modified Cars 66 - 85
Modified Cars 86 - Present
Classic or Retro Trucks up to 72
Modified or Off-Road Trucks

Yesterday morning, the Deposit Fire Department and Eastern Broome Emergency Services responded to a logging accident in the Town of Deposit. A Logger had sustained injuries from part of a falling tree. The Logger was extricated from the woods and transported to a local hospital.

Responding apparatus included Rescue 22, Utility 22 and Ambulance 8421. We would also like to thank Hancock Ambulance who provided an A.L.S. to our Eastern Broome Ambulance Crew. Eastern Broome had simultaneous calls occurring in the district at the time.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics lists Logging as the highest-risk occupation in the United States. Loggers are faced with major hazards everyday on the job site include falling trees, heavy machinery, and isolated work locations.

On Monday night, our crews reviewed apparatus placement and set up, relay pumping, drafting, deck gun operations and hose line advancement at our training facility.
