West End Members participated in our first extrication drill of the year to maintain proficiency in our knowledge and skills, better serving the Depew community.

A few people have pointed out that the weather map we shared yesterday indicates a visit from Godzilla. One of our followers, Peter Vincent, was helpful enough to highlight this area to show us exactly what they were seeing.

The local forecast does not currently include a visit from a giant, prehistoric, radioactive monster from Japan, but we'll keep you updated should that change.

As winter has arrived, just a friendly reminder about Ice safety. Currently all of our local ponds and lakes do not have safe Ice conditions. The current layer of snow over them makes them look deceivingly safe.
A safe rule of thumb is that 4"s of solid ice is safe to walk on. Please see the chart below.
Oh, and if anyone does see a T Rex out on the ice, please take a picture and send it to us. 😀
