Spring 2022:
Adult Open Gym - Participants will meet every Tuesday (for Volleyball) & Thursday (for Basketball) from 8pm to 9:30pm in the Riverview Gym. This is a fun, non-competitive program. Come out & enjoy the fun. Teams are picked each night before play begins. Proof of residence is required. Open to all Denville Residents 18 and older.
Yoga Moves for Every Body - We invite young adults to come participate in our brand new exercise offering. Our classes will incorporate deep stretching, guided breath work and fun filled easy movement; family members or helpers invited at no charge. Bring a yoga mat or towel, eat lightly before participating. Classes run for 45 minutes and will be conducted in outside field locations adjacent to our municipal building. For inclement weather days, we shall be inside at our town hall space. *Adults with special needs ages 16+
Denville Community Gardens – Open all year. The Denville Community Gardens gives Denville residents the opportunity to have a garden plot for their own. New gardener registrations begin mid-March
Fishing Permits – Cook’s Pond and Holstein Lake: Children 7 years of age and older, Adults, & Senior’s - You must have and provide a valid NJ Fishing license to purchase a fishing permit. (If you are a Cook's Pond member you do not need to purchase a fishing badge, as it is included in your membership - You will only need to provide your NJ State Fishing License)
Senior Exercise - Come join us for a specially designed senior citizen exercise program with a certified trainer. Class is designed to help you stay active, strong and healthy. Exercise at your own pace-using a chair. Each session will include a warm-up, leg exercises, upper body with your back supported, strength training and core muscles.
Senior Yoga - Instructor Rhoda Belej guides you through a gentle form of yoga designed to move the whole body through a series of seated and standing poses. The chair is used for seated poses and as support for standing poses when needed. The poses will increase flexibility, strength, balance, and range of motion. Breathing exercises and relaxation will help release stress and calm the mind.
Summer 2022:
Cook’s Pond – Denville Township’s public swim facility. Offers swimming, games, fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and the nature of Cook’s Pond Park. Open to all Memorial Day-Labor Day. Weekends only May-28-June 26; open seven days a week June 27-September 5.
Summer Plus – A weekly program for children entering grades K-5 (September 2022) at Valleyview School. Registration begins March 21, 2022. Week 1: June 28-July 1, theme: Surf’s Up Summer Plus, guest: TBD. Week 2: July 5-8, theme: Western Week, guest: Cowboy Magician. Week 3: July 11-15, theme: Disney Week, Trip: Turtle Back Zoo, guest: Bubble Show. Week 4: July 18-22, theme: Summer Plus Sets Sail, trip: Splashplex, guest: Snakes & Scales. Week 5: July 25-29, theme: Olympics Week, guest: Inflatable Movie. Week 6: August 1-5, theme: Heroes and Villains Week, trip: TBD, guest: Mad Science. Weeks 7: August 8-12, theme: Super Spirit Week, Trip, Mini Golf, guest: TBD. Payment Guide:

Teen Camp – Weekly program for children grades 6-9 (September 2022) at Valleyview School. Registration begins March 21, 2022. Participants go on trips throughout the week to various destinations such as Point Pleasant Beach, Medieval Times, Minor League Baseball Games, Liberty Science Center, Water Parks, Bowling, American Dream Mall, etc. Week 1: July 11-15, Week 2: July 18-22, Week 3: July 25-29, Week 4: August 1-5, Week 5: August 8-12.
Men’s Softball – For men 30 years of age and older. Games are played Monday and Wednesday nights, June-August. Registration is open now.
Ladies Softball – Adult females ages 30 and older. Games are played Thursday nights June-August.
