We're proud to partner with the Division of Child Welfare and the Colorado Department of Human Services on a pilot program called the Warm Line.

The Warm Line gives callers to the CO4Kids Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline another option. Callers can choose to connect with 211 Colorado, where trained navigators provide information about services and community resources that may help a family facing challenges.

“The Warm Line is reshaping how people understand the difference between poverty and child abuse or neglect,” said Wade Treichler, chief operations officer at Mile High United Way and chair of 211 Colorado Collaborative.

Free tax assistance is more than helping people file their taxes. It’s about meeting someone in a moment of uncertainty and helping them find solid ground again. It’s about ensuring families don’t have to navigate complex systems alone. Working at our tax sites, Itchel Cardenas, Tax Help Colorado coordinator, see moments like this every day.

One of those moments helped a mother access her tax $25,000 refund:

Katherine* was recently widowed and raising four children on her own. She had never filed her taxes by herself before, and was overwhelmed. But she showed up, determined to figure it out for her family.

We walked through the process together, answering questions and explaining what to expect, not just for this year, but for the years ahead. By the end of her visit, everything shifted.

Katherine learned she would receive over $25,000 in tax refunds. There was a moment of disbelief, then relief. She shared how much this would mean for her children, for their stability and their future during an incredibly difficult chapter in their lives.

We’re proud to share that our HIPPY program received an official endorsement from a HIPPY US specialist following several days of observation, including creative play and roleplaying, home visits, reflective supervision and record-keeping.

This endorsement recognizes the strength and quality of our implementation of HIPPY, an evidence-based model that stands for Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters, and reaffirms that families are receiving the full benefits of the program.

We’re honored to be recognized for maintaining the high standards that help support parents, strengthen families and prepare children for lifelong success. 💙

We’re still smiling from the joy of our annual baby supply drive! 💙

Thanks to the generosity of our community, each family left with essential items to help care for their little ones during those precious early years. Take a look at a few photos from the event and let the smiles of these children, their families and our volunteers brighten your day.

Special thanks to our Live United sponsor, Suncor, for helping support families in our community.

📸 Thank you TruBlu Images for beautifully capturing these unforgettable moments.

On Saturday, we welcomed more than 130 families to our annual Women United Village, where parents and caregivers received essential baby and toddler items to help care for their little ones. Families left the event with critical supplies, including car seats, diapers or pull-ups, wipes, toys and gift cards.

This event would not have been possible without the incredible generosity of our community. Thank you to everyone who hosted supply drives, purchased items from our wishlist, donated or volunteered their time to support local families.

And thank you to our event sponsors: Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP, Suncor, Delta Dental of Colorado, 5280 Magazine, and KPMG Friends and Family for Literacy. Your support helped make this event possible!

Stay tuned on ways to get involved on our website coming soon: https://bit.ly/4uhaaOJ

We’re proud to recognize Aprendiendo Juntos/Learning Together and the impact of our partnership. 💙

Over the past three years, the program supported close to 200 community members and 80 children through 62 workshops focused on early childhood development and education. By equipping parents and caregivers with knowledge, tools, and connection, Aprendiendo Juntos has helped build a strong foundation for lifelong learning across our community.

As Aprendiendo Juntos takes this next step as an independent organization, we can’t wait to see all they continue to accomplish for children and families.

Congratulations and thank you for your dedication to our community!

We recently hosted our second annual 211 Resource Fair! This year, we expanded the event with even more booths, bringing a wider range of valuable resources directly into the community. The 211 Resource Fair is just one of the many ways we’re growing our in-person outreach to connect community members with the support they need.

Thank you to all the organizations who participated, and a special thank you to Charissa Grixby and Kaila Greene from Food Bank of the Rockies, as well as Ian Anderson and Nathan Fair from the The Salvation Army Intermountain Division.

We recently launched a new self-measured blood pressure kiosk at our building, provided by the HCA Healthcare Foundation and in partnership with the American Heart Association.

Community members visiting our building now have direct access to tools to monitor their blood pressure and better understand their heart health, reducing barriers to preventive care.

Thank you to HCA HealthONE for your partnership and shared commitment to creating healthier futures for our community.
