Today, C-Shift had the opportunity to conduct some mutual aid training with the Lincolnton Fire Department. We truly appreciate opportunities like this to train together, strengthen our working relationship, and learn from one another.

Training together helps ensure that when we’re working side by side on the fireground, we know what to expect from each other and can operate as one team.

Today, B Shift responded on a mutual aid assignment to assist the Denver Fire Department with a fire at an industrial site on Business NC 16 Highway near the Catawba County line.

Mutual aid is an important part of the fire service. Departments working together provide additional apparatus, manpower, and resources to help control incidents quickly and safely.

We appreciate the teamwork and cooperation of all departments and personnel who responded and worked together today.

Today marks the first day back to school for Lincoln County students! With school buses and extra traffic back on our roads, please slow down, use extra caution, and allow additional time for your morning and afternoon commute.

🚸 Watch for students at bus stops and crosswalks.
🛑 Remember to stop for school buses when required.
🚗 Stay alert and avoid distractions behind the wheel.

Today, C Shift spent time sharpening one of the most fundamental firefighting skills, forcible entry.

Forcible entry is a critical skill that allows firefighters to quickly and safely gain access to locked buildings during emergencies when every second counts. Regular training ensures our crews remain proficient with the tools and techniques needed to protect lives and property while minimizing damage whenever possible.

Training never stops, because our community deserves firefighters who are prepared for any emergency, any time
