Congratulations to the 2026–2027 NEHA–FDA RFFM Grant Program grantees!

This year marks a major milestone, we received the highest number of applications since administering the program in 2022, reflecting the growing commitment to strengthening retail food safety nationwide.

Through this cycle, nearly 630 projects were funded, distributing $5.36 million to support 317 state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) programs. These investments directly strengthen inspection programs, build workforce capacity, and advance efforts that help prevent foodborne illness in communities across the country.

Thank you to every applicant and grantee for the critical work you do every day to protect public health.
