We are having our annual Christmas party next Saturday, December 13 and need some help. We help low income families who have a child/children with a medical condition. These families are often in and out of the hospital all year. It’s a difficult place to be. It’s often hard for these families to get out or find a place where they are welcomed. We invite them to a big party where we have games, prizes, crafts, snacks, and more. During this event, the parents get to “shop“ for gifts for each of their kiddos. We wrap these gifts on site and send them home with the family along with a box of non-perishables to help make Christmas dinner.

This year our biggest needs are:
Non-perishable foods for Christmas dinner
$20 gift cards (one per family to purchase meat)
Wrapping paper!
Scotch tape

Have you ever had a child in the hospital? Especially for more than just an overnight? It’s not easy to endure. Now imagine they are in the hospital for 10 days or more. Or maybe you don’t have to imagine it because you’ve been there before. It’s terrifying. Not only are you trying to focus on your sick child and helping them get better, you still have responsibilities back home. A job, bills to pay, other children to take care of, laundry, keeping up on the house, and so much more. It’s not easy to manage. Finances are usually extremely difficult in these circumstances, especially if the parents have to take time off of work to care for their sick child. That’s where we come in (and you can help!). Our organization, For the Love of Grace, financially helps families who are experiencing financial hardships due to a sick child or a child with an ongoing medical condition. We help pay for food, utilities, rent, gas, and other basic necessities. We are in need of financial support to assist families, especially during this difficult season! We are having a dinner/silent auction to raise money for these needy families. We are looking for attendees and we are also still looking for new/unused items, gift baskets, services, and gift cards to donate to our silent auction. Can you help? Please reach out if so! Join us next Saturday 10/14/23 for a night of good food and great fun!

This year we will live auction some items and silent auction the rest. Items to be auctioned include (but are not limited to), 1 night stay at Century Casino in Central City, Ultimate Prize pack to Urban Air, dinner for 4 at the Monarch Casino in Blackhawk, 1 year 24 hour Fitness membership, full Cryo-Facial 4 pack, Car Washes, music lessons, Gucci bags, tickets to the Arvada Events Center, tickets to The Colorado Ballet, cutlery sets, gift baskets and so much more!!

Please join us and help raise money for families facing financial hardship due to their child being ill.

If you cannot attend, but are willing to help these families, please make a donation of any amount. We've had more requests for assistance this year than in any year past, and we can't do this without your generosity.

For the Love of Grace is participating in Skystone Arvada’s craft fair on June 10th and are looking for any type of donated handmade creations we can sell to raise money to help our families in need (we help pay for bills while families are financially struggling with a child in the hospital). Our Christmas outreach is just 7 days away! We are helping families with Christmas gifts and food! We are still in need of supplies, food boxes, and volunteers! Here’s the rundown of the event:

Our annual Christmas outreach invites families we’ve helped in the past and provides them with toys for each child in their family and a box of food to make Christmas dinner. At this event, the entire family comes. The parents “shop“ for gifts for their kids, while we entertain the children with crafts, games, and snacks. Each family is sent home with their presents wrapped. This event will take place Saturday December 10th from 1-3 at a church in Westminster. Volunteers are need from 10:30-4:30 (come for as long or as little as you are able to). The entire family is welcome to come volunteer, just be aware that the kids we help have medical issues which are likely seen from the outside. If you have young children, please talk to them about the differences they may see (wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, Down syndrome, developmental delays, etc.).

Volunteers are needed to:
help set up
tear down
wrap presents
play games and do crafts with the kids
socialize with the families
serve cookies/snacks and hot chocolate
organize coat donations

If you would like to donate items to this event you can do so several ways.

You can donate:
winter coats (gently used or new)
stocking stuffers
gifts for teens (Toys for Tots covers toys for younger kids)
crafts
games
cookies/snacks
drinks
wrapping paper
tape
scissors
a box of non-perishable foods for a Christmas dinner (similar to that of a Thanksgiving box: potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, dessert, cornbread/bread mix, etc. A gift card with $10-$20 can be included for the meat and other perishables. Perishables may be included as long as they will last until Christmas).

Our Dinner & Silent Auction event was a huge success! We had nearly 40 items for auction including a NBA basketball signed by the entire team!! Dinner was delicious and the sauce was Nana’s recipe. The location was beautiful, thank you BRAVE Church for your generous donation! We hold this event every year so mark your calendars for October 7th, 2023 and plan to join us! All are welcome! We could also use more donations to get us through the next year as this is our BIG fundraiser. We brought in just under half of what we need (and that’s just to stay on pace with where we’re at, each year the need increases)! We accept cash, check, PayPal, and Venmo. Even sharing this post can bring in donations for us. And remember, we have no paid staff so all of your donation goes directly to helping these families in need. 

As a small nonprofit organization, we will gladly accept anything that you could donate, whether that be time, money, talents, or things you no longer need that we could auction or sell. Do you have a heart for helping others? Please join us Tonight 10/16! For the Love of Grace is having our annual silent auction and dinner fundraiser TONIGHT! It’s open to the public and we need more attendees! 5:30-7:30 in Candelas!

I started the organization after my four month old daughter passed away. We were in the hospital with her six weeks before she died and while we were there I found there was little to no help for families who are struggling to pay their bills while having to take time off of work. We help pay for basic necessities such as rent, heat, food, etc. Our need has gone up tremendously with Covid.

We have a TON of silent auction items: Broncos tickets, Nuggets tour passes, two-24 hour fitness year memberships, Chiropractor full initial visit and custom massages, outdoor heater, outdoor fireplace, LED projector and screen, Top Golf, Nature and Science Museum passes, car washes with detail kits, 2-wet dry vacs, stereo turntable, antique dolls, salon hair products, restaurant gift cards (Buffalo Wild Wings, Malones, Randi‘s Pizza, Firehouse Subs, Bluegrass restaurant, Beau Jo’s Pizza, Root Down, Ophelia‘s, Linger, Sexy Pizza, Lot One) and lots of baskets (doggy days, Soup’s on, family game night, breakfast entertainer, baking cookies for Santa, Tupperware, tea for two, bark in the name of love, you had me at taco, dig it).
