Planning a home project this summer?

If you're placing a dumpster, storage container, or landscaping materials in the street, you'll need a free permit from the Town of Erie.

A permit is required before placing these items in the street so the Town can verify they:

✔️ Won't block stop signs or speed limit signs
✔️ Won't obstruct fire hydrants
✔️ Aren't placed over valves, manholes, or stormwater inlets
✔️ Won't conflict with planned road work or maintenance activities

The application is quick, easy, and free.

We’re excited to share that over 200 new plants have just been added along Briggs Street! To help them settle in, you’ll notice some caution tape temporarily marking off these areas to protect the new plantings.

⚠️ If you’re visiting tonight’s Farmers Market, please take care to avoid these spots while the plants get established. Thanks for helping us keep Erie's streets beautiful!
