Huge win for Pueblo County Education Association - PCEA!

For too long, Brad Miller and those pushing the same political agenda have created chaos in our schools, attacked educators, and used students as pawns in culture war fights.

We must keep organizing to get him and his harmful agenda out of our school districts.

Two weeks after being ousted as Pueblo D70's general legal counsel, attorney Brad Miller has decided to sever official ties with the D70 Board. See link below ⬇️

SB26-135 was officially referred to the November 2026 ballot because educators across Colorado organized, spoke up, and took action for our students and schools.

Now it’s time to celebrate this huge milestone together. Join us at Lady Justice Brewing from 4-6 PM to celebrate the educators who helped get us to this moment and the next phase of this fight. First drink is on us.

SB26-135 passed the Senate and was officially referred to the November 2026 ballot! Getting this referred to the ballot happened because educators organized. Members spoke up, took action, and made it clear that our schools cannot keep being held back by an outdated spending limit. This fight contin...

“Having a voice that can unify and can stand in solidarity with our fellow workers, and also in support of our schools, in support of our students, so that they have a quality experience, (is important),” she said. “... We’re not looking to do anything damaging to the school district – we are the school district, right? We want to find a sustainable solution that keeps us intact and keeps us functional.”

Education support professionals keep our schools running every day, and they deserve a real voice in the decisions that affect their work, their students, and their schools.

We’re standing with Aurora ESPs this week as they vote to form their union and build collective power at work. When classified educators have a voice, our schools are stronger for everyone.

Rori’s words say exactly why this vote matters.
Aurora classified employees are essential employees and we deserve to be heard.
Check your work email and vote YES.

We did it!

After a marathon session yesterday, SB26-135 officially passed at 1:20 AM and is headed to the November 2026 ballot.

CEA members across the state emailed senators and representatives, showed up in their communities, testified, rallied, shared their stories, and kept the pressure on until our elected officials ran our bill.

Now, Colorado voters will have the chance to cut the ropes holding back our schools and build the fully staffed, fully funded, fully supported public schools every student deserves.

Today, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we keep organizing.

SB26-135 passed the House this weekend and is headed back to the Senate for a final vote.

Thank you to our House sponsors, Representative Meghan Lukens and Representative Jennifer Bacon, for their leadership and for stewarding our bill through the House.

This bill is about giving Coloradans the opportunity to vote this November on whether our state should finally be able to invest the money it already collects into K-12 public schools. Colorado students, educators, and communities deserve fully funded schools, smaller class sizes, stronger student supports, and the resources every neighborhood school needs to thrive.
