You’re invited to join - Colorado Black Women for Political Action, Young Invincibles, Mi Familia Vota, Youth Roots, Rocky Mountain Partnership, Ednium: The Alumni Collective, New Era Colorado, YAASPA, Compound of Compassion, Wells of Happiness Foundation, and additional partners for a powerful evening centering the voices of young people across Colorado.

This interactive Jeopardy-style forum will give young people the opportunity to hear directly from candidates in the Colorado governor’s race while engaging in important conversations around education, healthcare, economy, housing and more.

The forum will be next Saturday, June 13, at 6 PM (we will most likely start at 5:30 for a happy hour) in Aurora (exact address shared after you RSVP). We will have networking, free food, jeopardy with the candidates, and an opportunity to meet all of our partner organizations. PLUS a dedicated student section up front. 🎉🥳

TODAY'S SUPREME COURT DECISION.

The Voting Rights Act (VRA) is widely hailed as the “crown jewel” of the Civil Rights Movement and has been foundational in the creation of a multiracial democracy.

Today’s decision puts that vision at risk.

(1) People fought, bled, and died for these protections, and the Supreme Court has whisked those sacrifices away with the wave of a hand.

(2) The Court has once again chosen to encroach on Congress’ authority to enact laws that address racial discrimination by gutting the VRA.
