Judi's House

Judi's House Judi's House is a community-based nonprofit bereavement center for children and families.

Founded by former NFL quarterback Brian Griese and his wife, Dr. Brook Griese, Judi’s House is a tribute to Brian’s mother, Judi, whom he lost to breast cancer when he was 12. As Brian grew up grieving this loss, he made a commitment to use his resources to positively impact grieving children. The Grieses discovered that there were no organizations devoted to this population and dedicated themselv

es to offering a safe, compassionate environment where children could grieve and begin the lifelong healing process.

June is Gun Violence Awareness Month. Nearly 25% of children under 18 have witnessed violence, and an estimated three million children have witnessed gun violence. These experiences can deeply affect a child’s sense of safety and emotional well‑being.

At Judi’s House, we support children and caregivers navigating the impact of community violence. Resources like Sesame Workshop's Community & Gun Violence resources offer helpful, age‑appropriate guidance for talking with kids and supporting healing.

We’re looking back on our Memorial Event in May and remembering the meaningful stories and connections shared. 🌻 This open‑house event created space for clients and families to come together, reflect, and honor their special person through hands‑on activity stations focused on remembrance and connection.

We are deeply grateful to the staff and volunteers whose support and presence helped make the day that much more meaningful to the families we serve. Thank you for helping create a space filled with support, compassion, and remembrance. 💙

June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to acknowledge the unique challenges many men face when it comes to emotional well‑being and grief.

According the National Health Institute (NHI), su***de rates among men are four times higher than women. These numbers remind us how critical it is to create spaces where men feel supported and understood.

At Judi’s House, we believe that grief support should be accessible to everyone and that no one should have to navigate grief alone.
