Get ready to ride and shine this year on Bike to Work Day by swapping four wheels for two Wednesday, June 24.

Way to Go—a program of the Denver Regional Council of Governments—is presenting Bike to Work Day. Register now at BikeToWorkDay.co to be entered into a drawing for tickets to “The Sound of Music” at the Buell Theater, among other prizes.

The city is participating this year by hosting a breakfast station on the High Line Canal near the trail underpass on the west side of Chambers Road, just northeast of the Aurora Municipal Center. Stop by on your bike for a free beverage and breakfast burrito (sponsored by Bicycle Aurora) from 6:45 to 9 a.m.

Also in Aurora, stations will be available from 6 to 9 a.m. on the Anschutz Medical Campus in front of the Fitzsimons Building, 13003 E. 17th Place, at Bonfils Court/Food Truck Park; and from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hardt Family Cyclery, 2302 N. Dayton St., in partnership with Mishap Coffee and Second Dawn Brewing Co.

More information and station locations are available at BikeToWorkDay.co.

Be weather aware today! The US National Weather Service Denver/Boulder Colorado is predicting severe storms across northeast Colorado this afternoon and evening, with the potential for very large hail.

[Image description: Map showing possible storms.]

A few severe storms will be possible across northeast Colorado this afternoon and evening. Isolated to scattered storms are expected to develop along the I-25 Corridor by mid afternoon and quickly intensify, and then move east across the plains through early evening. Very large hail expected from any severe storms, although some will produce high wind and a threat of tornadoes. Stay weather aware and have multiple ways to receive warnings. If storms approach your area, move your car to a garage if time permits to do so safely.
